We LOVED our stay! The property is gorgeous and very kitsch 💕 Our room was clean. The pool is the perfect backdrop for pictures if splashing isn’t your thing. (Isn’t mine haha). Breakfast was AMAZING. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the bar— Oatman-Smith-Nicholsons will be back!

The mid-century style was pretty unique. The hotel is close to downtown Charleston. The room was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood around the hotel was fairly rundown. The “magic mirror” wouldn’t shut off. Be aware that trains run nearby.

Our room was clean and the bed was super comfy. Our issue was the noise from other guests due to thin walls. There was a guest above us that walked his dog on and off all night. So lots of footsteps and banging of doors. Literally kept us up all night. Our advice is to get a room on the 2nd floor.

Very clean room. Bed and bedding was so comfortable and of high quality. Slept like a baby. The newly renovated rooms with the nostalgic touch was very nice. AC/heating unit was top notch. Hotel exceeded my expectations especially since I grew up in the local area. Highly recommend, will stay again. Only recommendation is to get rid of the black hand washcloths. Get all white so it can be washed in bleach also.

This is a motel type style building where the rooms have outside entrances, I think the building dates back to 1960s, so I wasn’t expecting a lot, just a comfortable room for the night, but what I got was a room that was comparable to any four star Hotel, super clean, comfortable bed, completely upgraded, at a great price. 10/10
