“We only stayed one night, so didn’t really have time to use e.g the bar & didn’t have dinner there. But that said, we were able to park - it was an extra cost of £6 not included in the booking cost. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a tad tired, with a bit of crack in the top of bath rim; but it was perfectly usable. Breakfast was nice, the lady serving was informative and friendly. The gentleman on reception was again informative and pleasant. The hotel is well placed...

“Obviously the location is beautiful but the hotel is in need of TLC. This is not reflected in the price as it did not include breakfast. The two ladies running the bar and waiting on tables were totally rushed off their feet as they were also checking clients into hotel, booking breakfasts, taking food orders and answering queries. It seemed very unfair that they were having to do all of this. However, to their credit they coped very well and were polite and calm but clients were also...

“The hotel is very worn in all areas - carpet dirty and coming up. Hallways are dark and dingy. The room was dirty with mold in the bathroom. No AC and the window only opened 1 inch so the room was incredibly hot despite 2 fans. The location is great but I would never stay here again. I left early to go to the Holiday Inn.”

“Pub with rooms,with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Evening staff were warm and welcoming, great evening meal. Breakfast was slightly less relaxed as the waitress was slightly overwhelmed having 4 guests. An extension lead for the kettle in the bedroom would be useful. Also lots of cooking smells in the room and corridors due to the kitchen door being open all the time.”

“Everything about this Green King Inn was perfect. Its location on the river had loverly views, the food well priced, staff where excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again.”

“Had a lovely stay at this hotel, room was lovely, clean and everything we needed, continental breakfast had plenty of cereal to chose from, yoghurts, cereal bars, toast, fruit, lots of choices of drinks. “The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The location of the property was very good, within easy walking distance of the centre of Norwich so no need to take the car. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is a self-service buffet - cereals and bread for toast are provided and there is orange juice, butter, milk, jam etc. in a small fridge. Microwaveable porridge was also available, however, there were no kitchen scales so it would have been difficult to measure out the correct...

“Balcony was unusable. Unstable plastic tall barstools which were useless and very uncommon. With armchairs dragged out of the room you couldn’t see over the tall concrete balcony at all. Paid extra for a room with a view!! Management were rude and snobby. Not willing to help at all. We were shown two other rooms of the same type exactly but refurbished at least. Minutes later when we said we’d try to check out, because these rooms suddenly became unavailable, this woman offered no help at all....
