Vacations Close To Norris Dam State Park

Stayed in a single king size bedroom, with my wife and infant. They clearly stated that they have crib for babies to be rented but when I reached out to them a day before our check-in, they gave one flimsy excuse. When we checked in, the room was not well maintained. The floor carpet was so dirty that we could not let our infant even sit on it, not to talk of crawl. The bathroom fittings were falling apart. We spent 4 nights there, and they only came to change the towels. They never cleaned the room, nor changed the sheets. Few positives: Free breakfast between 8-11 AM, with reasonable options. Easy access to Gatlinburg downtown.

Ants, plaster falling out around shower, dog next room barking all night, was there 4 days and 3 nights never hade room service.

While the property itself was decent, the overall experience was incredibly frustrating. My villa was located right next to a timeshare showroom, meaning I had to endure the constant slamming of doors from tours all day. To make matters worse, I had no hot water overnight and through half of the next day. When I requested a room change, the front desk claimed the resort was completely booked. However, while standing at the desk, I checked their website and found five identical rooms available for booking. Only after pointing this out—and waiting another hour for a callback—was I finally moved. For the premium price charged here, the lack of basic amenities, poor customer service, and zero compensation for these major inconveniences are completely unacceptable. Someone should be making this right.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ashridge at Smith Creek Resort exceeded every expectation! If you’re looking for an upscale getaway in the Smoky Mountains, this is it. The resort truly has everything you could want. The pool and lazy river are absolutely incredible and create the perfect place to relax, while the cabins are beautifully designed, luxurious, spacious, and equipped with everything you need to feel right at home. One of the best parts is the location. You’re only about 6 minutes from grocery stores and everyday essentials, and within 10 minutes of restaurants, dinner shows, shopping, Dollywood, and plenty of places to pick up souvenirs. Even downtown Gatlinburg is only about a 23-minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy everything the Smoky Mountains have to offer without staying in the middle of the crowds. What impressed me most was how versatile this resort is. During our stay, we saw family reunions, bachelorette parties, church groups, couples, and families with children all enjoying themselves. There truly is something for everyone. Whether you’re planning a weekend escape, a family vacation, or a large group gathering, Ashridge at Smith Creek Resort is the perfect destination. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!

Such a cute hotel near the mountains and the staff went above and beyond. Our waitress Cassandra was nice and made us feel at home.

Everything was good with the property, communication was great, convenient to everything, price was reasonable and will be back and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you for having us!
