For the price it was good. The property is a little dated but they have made some updates. Bathroom was very small. Coffee at breakfast was questionable. Pretty sure it's not supposed to turn gray when you put creamer in it. Breakfast options were nothing special. Overall, ok for a budget friendly hotel.

My Husband and I have made The New Victorian Inn & Suites in Norfolk our home away from home for any time we travel back home to Nebraska to visit family. Tanja and Phil are only 2 of their amazing team members/managers who make us feel at home and ensure that our stay is exceptional. From the moment you walk in the door Tanja greets everyone with a smile, is friendly, and warms your heart with her presence. Unlike many managers who are the behind the scenes people, Phil who is the manager at the Norfolk location (there are 2 other locations in NE and 1 in IA) makes sure that his guests see his presence and know he is available. He is also very friendly and pleasant making sure that his guests have enjoyed their stay. I can’t even count how many times now we have stayed with them but there is no reason to look any further for a place to stay when we visit, we know this is our home. My husband is someone who is sarcastic and funny (well thinks he is funny) but everyone loves…. Well to me that’s who Phil reminds me of. He greets everyone with a smile rather they are coming or going and says “good morning”, “ I hope you are enjoying your stay”, or “safe travels.” And of course as we have gotten to know them we have the pleasure of getting to see his sarcastic and funny side. The rooms are always clean and well kept. Their morning breakfast is one of the best I have had- their biscuits and gravy is amazing! If you find yourself in Norfolk make this your home away from home too!

This is my second time staying at this hotel and my first time attending breakfast. I was really hoping for something hot to eat such as eggs, sausages or gluten-free oatmeal, but there was only two types of cereals that were gluten-free and yogurt. I made do with what they did have to offer and appreciated that they at least had some gluten-free options. The one thing that was very off putting was the lady that was walking between the front desk and the kitchen yelled at a parent about their child and I just did not really feel that their response or tone was very appropriate towards the mom, it could have been addressed in a nicer and firm way but, raising your voice where it echoed was not ok. We will stay again as we only come for a night usually. The property is pretty clean and the rooms are decent for the price.

This is an old hotel and sound barriers are not like modern hotels, but it is very clean and the service is excellent. The beds are very comfortable and climate control and all that stuff is updated. It is a good value in spite of it being an old hotel
