Very nice stay

The Jabal Akhdar mountains are incredibly beautiful and Alila is probably the best hotel in the area. Remote location, beautiful setting and great service, food etc. Via Ferrata is a must try. The whole staff is very warm and welcoming, Aisha at the Juniper restaurant made our day more than once!

Very rude front desk. As I arrived on the second day of the reservation, the front desk lady said that she would still "let me stay" as if doing me a favor, even though I prepaid for 2 nights. At check-out, no one bothered to ask how my stay went. Not yet been exposed to such rude and dismissive staff. The rooms facing the restaurant/bar (many of them) are noisy in the evening, though music mercifully stopped at around 10pm. Still, if you are looking for a restful retreat in the mountains, bar music is probably not ideal. The water provided in glass bottles in the room tasted strongly of chlorine and was not drinkable (unless you enjoy pool water). On the positive side, the restaurant (Juniper) was very good with great staff and the location is beautiful. Having said that, Anantara next door also has stunning views with 10x better customer service.

Die Anlage, das Zimmer etc. war alles hervorragend gepflegt. Die Aussicht ist selbstredend ausgezeichnet. Das Essen war spitze. Frühstück a la Carte, kein Büffet - fanden wir so noch besser. Zudem werden kostenfreie Aktivitäten angeboten.

Einmalges Hotel am Abgrund des Grand Canyons des Omans. Top Anlage mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Anreise ist etwas länger jedoch auch gut selber machbar (braucht Auto mit 4x4, wegen der Talfahrt). Einen Stern Abzug wegen den doch hohen Preise für die Zusatzangebote (ca. Euro 170.- bzw. OMR 75.- p.P. für den Klettersteig in einer 10er Gruppe ist trotz des einmaligen Erlebnis ganz schon hoch).

This is without doubt one of the best hotels we've ever been to. Large, spacious, stylish rooms with all the amenities. Grounds that extend for miles with fabulous canyon views. The pool area is fantastic. A great range of included on-site activities - we had a great time at Sujith's mocktail masterclass, and the female guide who led the stargazing and geology walk (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) was so good. Well worth investing the time for. Food also very good especially breakfast, and we also enjoyed the Rose Garden for dinner - and the great waiter we had there. Juniper for dinner was perhaps the only thing in the hotel that was "good not great". A heads up that the road from Saiq Plateau up to the hotel is paved but not the easiest especially if caught in the rain! We hope to return some day...

Die Lage des Hotels ist atemberaubend mit Blick in den Canyon. Die Architektur wirklich klasse. Das ist schon ein außergewöhnliches Hotel. Beim Abendessen gibt es jedoch noch Verbesserungspotential. Zum Einen hatten wir einen Tisch, wo mir im Nacken jede Minute ein Bediensteter vorbeirannte in oder aus der Küche, zum Anderen war das Essen für 2 Personen keine 250€ wert, was es gekostet hat! Da habe ich am Vortag in einem 4-Sterne-Hotel für 1/5 des Geldes besser gegessen.

L hôtel est vraiment top , il est situé Dan d’un endroit magique , la vue est incroyable . Se réveiller et voir ce paysage si beau rend le site exceptionnel. Le restaurant est très bon . Le service est vraiment digne d’un hôtel haut de gamme , le personnel est au petits soins pour vous satisfaire

Utsikten magiskt

Härligt ställe, fantastisk miljö. Nu var inte poolen i gång när vi va men fick bada i en av villorna funkade bra. Däremot så rycker jag att maten och druck kan uppgraderas eller minskas i kostnad. För dyrt av vad du fick.

Perfect location for hiking

Loved the stay in the hotel, everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful. Great starting point for hiking and perfect for chilling afterwards at the pool.
