Very nice for the cabin in the woods with Toya lake view. I loved the lake view bathroom. The owner manages everything. I bought half-board the food was excellent especially with the wagyu and corn soup.
The log cabin lodge is run by Sasaki San and his mum. Lovely people.
The place was clean and very quiet. All we heard were the birds and great view of the lake. Sunset made the island shine and a rainbow to appear.
Since the cabin is surrounded by nature, just keep the insect screens in place when the verandah doors are open and all is good.
We took the meal package as it was well rated. It was more than we expected. The steak was surely the highlight - juicy and tender. Best I’ve had so far - local A5. The corn soup was made with just farm bought corn that morning and local milk - the natural sweetness came through with no added sugar. Attention to fresh ingredients is amazing.
It was a lovely stay, highly recommended if you want to experience staying in a log cabin.
The place has gorgeous view of Lake Toya. The parking is free and with plenty of spaces. The host is very kind and responsive. The house is roomy with private onsen inside. The dinner and breakfast prepared by the host were delicious. The restaurant area got many Canadian decorations which are really cool. Highly recommended!
Property is a 10 minute drive away from the heavily touristed area. Perfect for us. The hosts are wonderful and the food is amazing. We got the half board (dinner and breakfast) for four. Amazing.
Cabins are all built using huge logs. A tad rustic but with amazing soaking tub plus modern toilets.
We stayed in summer. No A/c but temps were cool.
Highly recommend and would stay again.
Our stay was relaxing and right off the main road before reaching Toyako. The cabin was very nice and a good size. The food was excellent and the owner very accommodating. If you are looking for a place in town, where you can walk from your room to along the boardwalk and visit shops, this might not be for you. It's a short drive to the town. But, there is no need to go into town for dinner - the owner is a wonderful cook. Also, the location is private and quiet, with a great view of the lake from our room. The large bathtub also looks out over the lake. We would have liked to spend more than 2 nights here, but the Owner does not rent the cabins on Wednesdays to allow for a thorough cleaning.
Interesting log cabin architecture. Gorgeous new bathrooms with sunken soaking tubs and nice smelling toiletries.
Upstairs bed loft was a little dusty but otherwise comfortable.
Included Omakase breakfast and special Wagyu set dinner were delicious and well worth it.
Proprietors were super friendly and helpful.
