We were nervous from the street, but blown away when we stepped inside! Definitely recommend - clean, spacious, good breakfast, excellent nearby restaurants! Parking a bit far, but doable.

Hardly a 4 star hotel

A well situated hotel without parking or indeed a drop off zone. Very nice and charming building, but cheap decor and cheap furniture offsets the charm. Asked for towels, received non. The bar serves beer or vine by the bottle only. Poor breakfast. Would not go back.

Best hotel ‘ve ever stayed at in France. Comfortable bed, large room with mini fridge and outstanding staff. Great location in Nîmes. Central to everything. I stay again without a second thought.

Quaint 17th century hotel

The staff were extremely helpful with advice of sights and where to eat. Their recommended restaurants were just around the corner., with some awesome foods. Just remember that parking is at a premium in historic parts of a city. The parking we choose was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. However, the staff helped remove the luggage upon arrival and load it ipon departure.

Hotel is in a great location convenient for walking around Nimes. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was pretty small but clean(we did just book a standard room) and did not rate the breakfast that we had only once - not good value for money. Would still recommend this hotel for a short break though

If you like eclectic, this is the place for you! The entrance to the hotel could be easily overlooked from the street and we got lost trying to find it at night. A doorway with a tiny sign fixed flat to the wall. There is a lift from the lobby to our 3rd floor unit, but there are changes in grade between the lift and the room requiring stairs. So good luck with your luggage. And the staircases are outdoors, i.e. open to the sky! The unit has three rooms: toilet, bedroom and shower/washbasin, so after using the toilet one must pass through the bedroom to use the washbasin. That seems odd for a renovated hotel that the toilet and washbasin would not at least be in adjoining rooms. The shower room has no door so no privacy from the bedroom and cools to common room temperature. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

My husband and I received a warm and friendly welcome, and were upgraded to a room with a balcony. (Rm 304) That elevated this rating from a 3 to a 4. The balcony is great but the chairs and table are very rusted and should be replaced. The hotel is in a central location with the main attractions being easily walkable. Linens and towels are excellent quality, and the cleaners did a good job. The bathroom’s placement is strange. Having the bed between the WC and the sink requires constant walking around the bed to wash hands and is awkward. The makeup mirror doesn’t stay upright because it’s missing the rear piece. The bed only has one bedside wall plug. We received a complimentary bottle of water as a welcome on Day 1, but only 1 small bottle (50cl ) Evian for 2 people? Housekeeping did not replace our coffee pods every day like they should have. I understand about historic buildings/old cities, but there is an unpleasant odor coming from the sink when the stopper is raised. Keep the sink stopper down. The TV has limited English language channels and there was no way to plug in the firestick to watch our content because HDMI and power are needed but not available. The ability to cast to the TV had been blocked so we used our cellular due to being unable to stay logged into hotel's internet. Again, I understand it's an old building with thick walls, but other hotels have installed repeaters for this particular issue. Area has a number of homeless or people begging.
