I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful, making for a lovely stay. The rooms are Japanese style, very comfortable and clean. It is 1 minute from the beautiful Shinkyo Bridge and the edge of the national park. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and cafes.

A well located ryokan close to Nikko-Tosho-gu.

Nikko Tokino Yuu was a convenient hotel for an overnight visit to Nikko to see the shrine and tomb of Tokagawa Ieyasu at Nikko-Tosho-gu. with simple Ryokan style rooms and a modest basement onsen, this was a comfortable hotel for a night.

It was a great experience staying in a traditional ryokan, visit an onsen (public bath) and use a yukata (Japanese robe). Lovely staff, great location and spacious and clean room. A futon mattress would have made the experience even better, but the down duvet was wonderful.

Customer service was excellent. We were greeted by friendly staff. Instructions for room and onsen were helpful and informative. Location is great. We arrived in the evening and it was nice to see the building lit up and easy to find. I would highly recommend this stay.

Overall good stay.

The service staff was good, except on the day of checkout when they were very insistent that we checked out before the 10 am checkout time, even though I kept explaining that I had my children and wife still in the room while I returned my rental car. They almost made me late returning my car by having me explain my whole itinerary to them that morning.

This is a small hotel with limited hotel rooms. Some rooms need to shared bath. We stayed in a Japanese style room with a private bath. The room is not fancy but clean and confortable. The hotel is walkable distance to most of the attractions, only 2 min walk to Shokyo bridge, 15 mins walk to Toshogu Shrine, and 18 mins walk to Tobu-Nikko train station. The Heritage shuttle bus stop 7 is right in front of the hotel.

Perfect place in Nikko

We really enjoyed our stay at Nikko Tokino Yuu. The room was spotless, roomy and decently equipped. The service was really friendly and helpful even if we do not speak Japanese very well. I especially loved the large public bath. It was quiet and well-maintained, and had a view of a small garden. When I was enjoying a bath there, it started to rain lightly. I could smell the rain and see the plants get a little wet - it was the best feeling ever. If we were ever back in Nikko, we would come back to this place!

Although the facility is not the type of ryokan that provides an option for half-board, the facility is spotless, including the room, bedding, bathroom, and public onsen. They have strict COVID measurement procedures, which made us feel safe and comfortable! The manager lady who heard us going out to the bar and they checked on us for transportation which we didn’t ask for; they cared for their clients. We feel warm-hearted. Thank you for such comfortable and cleanliness of the facility for us to stay!

Está muy bien ubicado, está en medio del pueblo y la zona natural turística. A solo dos minutos a pie del puente Shinkyō. Te ofrecen yukatas y sandalias, tienen un Onsen fabuloso que se disfruta mucho. El personal es amable y atento. El autobús que va hacia el lago Chuzenji pasa literalmente afuera del hotel. Es una excelente opción para hospedarse.
