Cute town We took a ferry ride to Sado island which was a 2hour ride on a slow boat for 2400yen ($24) or a fast speed boat for 1 hour for 5900 yen The ferry was so nice and if I had time I would spend 2 or 3 days in Sado.

The sightseeing loop bus service is an excellent means of visiting the highlights of the city.
Not a major tourist haven but pleasant with a number of good attractions and a relaxed pace.
Very delicious fish places.
I love Niigata. I try to come every year for Sakenojin.
