This was the opening week at the Nemea after refurbishment. On arrival we were kept waiting for 1 hour because our room was not ready. When we eventually went up to the room there was a workman in there with tools. He said 'tomorrow' and left. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Air conditioning was a bonus. Unfortunately many appliances were not connected and not working including the TV, hairdryer and kettle. Coat hangers were not on the rail so unusable, all the shelves in the wardrobe were covered in dust. Having appliances including a hairdryer were part of our reasons for choiithe hotel not not impressed. Reception did not help despite us going back down to ask but they also said 'tomorrow' however no one came to connect anything the next day. We also sent messages via the booking app Expedia but no response. Emailing the property also got no response. We received several checking in messages prior to arriving but not one mentioned if was opening week or that they might not be ready. Not was this mentioned when we were checking in and yet the hotel was quite happy to take our money. No apology until we were checking out and no refund or reduction.

Spacious, clean, nice pools. 2mins location to tram. Only issue we had is that they give you one card between you, the cards control the lift and room ac and lights etc. Friendly staff

The hotel was close to the airport, we were actually able to walk it, but free tram service is also available. Hotel was clean, friendly staff. However our room was not cleaned for 4 and towels were not changed unless asked. Hotel is not as close to Nice centre as we hoped as it was not walkable in the heat. Easy tram service down the road if preferred. Ubers were roughly €12-€14 per trip into Nice. It’s important to be aware of the area at night, did not feel too safe in the dark but no issues. I There are not many restaurants near where we stayed that we felt comfortable to eat and drink there, so getting into Nice was our main options for food. There are a few shops around but we preferred to visit those in the daytime. was disappointed thought that we could not use the pool area after check out considering we stayed for a whole week, most hotels have been fine with us using the facilities on departure. Especially if we have a late flight back. So I think the hotel could have let us. Overall a pleasant stay, and nice modern hotel as described.
