What an amazing stay at the Pentire Hotel! From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. The rooms were comfortable, the location in Newquay was perfect for exploring the area, and the whole team made us feel so welcome. It really added to the overall Cornwall experience and we'd happily stay again next time we're in the area.

The room we stayed in was clean, and from the window you could see the beach. A 5 minute walk to the beach, good range of food for breakfast continental, and cooked. You book a meal in the evening if you want to, just give them notice because it does get busy in the evening, there is also a bar there if you want one.

The exterior of the hotel and grounds are poorly maintained and need to be tidied up. The lift to the bedrooms was grubby. The bedroom was pleasant with a nice view of the beach. The shower whilst adequate was poorly maintained in that the door rubber needed replacing which is quite a cheap thing to do but makes the shower look so much better.

I expected much more for the price (£250 per night). The hotel feels dated and is in need of renovation. Cleanliness was below expectations, the car park was dirty, the staff were not particularly friendly, and the breakfast quality was disappointing. The location near Fistral Beach is good, but that alone does not justify the high price. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel at its current rates.

Nice hotel and staff. Enjoyed the swimming pool and breakfast. It was a shame the gym was closed and the room was quite basic. Would have been nice to have a fridge and iron. Overall a pleasant stay.

They was no air conditioner the room was to hot at night to sleep. Was seagulls outside wake up at 5,o’clock ,so we didn’t sleep much. Staff didn’t come in to empty bins and change the towels they should of this as weather was so hot ,swimming pool was lovely as it was cold as the weather was so hot ,staff was friendly. We had a lovely time in Newquay
