My friend and I loved our stay at the Chart House Inn! If you are looking for a sweet cozy traditional style BNB look no further! We especially loved the location as it is in the sweet spot of town where it's just far away from all the noise so it's not overwhelming, but close enough to the action near America's Cup & Thames St. If walking, it is about a 15 minute walk to the International Tennis Hall of Fame. I would definitely come back again.

Loved our stay at The Charter Inn! Amazing location — pretty central to the busiest parts of Newport. We walked most of the time and left our car parked in the inn’s lot. The entire inn was spick and span, with charm in every corner of the building! We stayed in the Ida Lewis room, which was super spacious, had a beautiful bathroom, and was super comfy! Highly recommend The Charter Inn!

What a charming little stay we had! Everything was very clean and easy to navigate. The beds were from heaven!!! Parking was easy and free. Super easy walk to all the fun things going on downtown. Future patrons, please note: - Although this is listed as a bed and breakfast, breakfast is not included. - No full body mirrors in the Julia Berwind room. We stayed for a wedding and wished we brought ours with us!

The room was very large, bed comfortable. They room layout with bathroom was a bit odd. Decor was very well done. The host was very friendly and times for check in were accommodating. Great location in downtown Newport. The room could have used a chair or two at the foot of the bed, so that there was a place to sit and possible drop items.

Probably one of my most favorite hotel experiences! The hotel/room is so charming and excellent location. They included drink vouchers and breakfast vouchers to a local restaurant down the street. Most definitely will stay here every chance we get!

The window A/C unit was difficult to sleep through, but the innkeeper was attentive and helpful, providing a large circulating fan to keep us comfortable. Room was quiet, sufficient for our stay, and walkable to all of the beauty of Newport. The complimentary weekend breakfast at their restaurant was excellent! Would stay here again. :-)
