“Whilst my room was small, it had all I needed.
The highlight was the staff: reception and bar/restaurant staff were excellent. Polite, attentive, efficient.
Breakfast was very good with a wide choice.
The restaurant menu for dinner was ok but sometimes a wider simpler choice would have been nice.”

“Really comfortable, quiet and clean bedroom, the bathroom was on the small side and not as nice as the rest of the room (still nice enough). The staff were friendly but seemed very busy so they just gave us the key and pointed us in the direction of the outbuiling where our bedroom was located. If you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs our room would not be for you as there were some very steep stairs.”

“The staff were great - friendly and welcoming.
The room was on the small side but we were only there for one night, and it was clean and comfortable (and the view of the hills was lovely). There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week,
We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent.
A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes.”

“We stayed at Old Posting Inn for 2 nights as wanted to explore the lake District area. We wanted a quiet, quaint village as our base, and the Inn was perfect for our needs. The dinner was excellent and the hosts were lovely. The location itself is15 mins from Cockermouth town centre, 30-40 mins from Kewsick, and 45 mins from Buttermere. All in all, it was a perfect holiday for us, and we will come again!”

“Magnífico pequeño hotel con habitaciones reformadas y con mucho encanto. Muy práctico para hacer senderismo desde el propio hotel.
La cocina, tanto para los desayunos como las cenas, es buenísima.
