“Nice hotel, walking distance to the blacksmiths and all the gift shops. The room was a little dated but very spacious and clean. I loved the little fireplace heater. The staff was excellent and I enjoyed the breakfast. The only issue I had was the lack of outlets near the bed to charge your phone. I attended a wedding at Gretna and the reception was held here, I really enjoyed the dinner!”

“It was a lovely hotel the only problem was 21 steps up to reception and bedrooms on the same floor would stay here again staff so helpful ”

“Super clean room, was nicely designed & a warm welcome. Had dinner at the restaurant which unfortunately the service wasn’t great really slow & forgot one of our parties meal & drinks order (I would understand if it was super busy but it wasn’t) but they were friendly in general couldn’t fault that. The hotel was lovely giving really cosy vibes & the receptionist was lovely. Would recommend & the surrounding area is really nice for walks. ”

“Everything was very clean and the property is beautiful. It’s nice to see a place maintain the original design. The carpet in the room was looking a little tired but not too bad. ”

“Room was nicely decorated, comfortable. Good tv. Shower room ideal for our needs. Breakfast was good, lots of choice and fresh. Only slight fault was noise of traffic as we had window open ”

“We arrived very late in the evening about 9:30pm and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or more helpful. They recommended a local takeaway that delivered and allowed us to eat our food in the bar and have a drink. Our room was huge and very comfortable. We’ll definitely be back.”
