The Hotel and room were clean and comfortable and the owner very willing to please. The location is well situated with easy acess to the town centre shops and seafront. Traffic noise is minimal and presents no problems with sleeping. The morning breakfast offers a large and varied selection with something available for all tastes, The full English breakfast is highly recommended to set you up for the day. As a suggestion a tea towel and small sponge would be an advantage upon the sink in order to swill items used. Having said that used crockery and cups were very quickly renewed. A very enjoyable stay and will definately return. An ammendment is required to the information brochure and "Expedia" booking information in regards to Parking. Free parking is now very limited with just Two spaces at the hotel frontage. The large carpark is under new ownership and is "not free" on weekends. The fee is £4.80 all day from 9am until 18.00pm every day Mon to Sun and bank holidays but is free overnight after 18.00pm On street parking is 50p per hour upto £4.50 all day upto 17.30pm with Sunday only free and overnight parking free until 09.00am The theatre car park which is 100yards away is free all day and overnight but gets full very quickly.

A warm welcome awaits, and the hotel is really go.

We were warmly welcomed and our room was great. It was very roomy, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. Our host was friendly and very helpful. We would stay there again.

Great place to stay

Excellent host went out of his way to be helpful, nothing too much trouble even gave me a choice of rooms on arrival. Lovely hotel, well furnished, clean and very comfortable. Superb breakfast, so refreshing to have so much choice and more unusual options.

This boutique family run hotel is an absolute gem. The owners have impeccable taste, a theme running through every tiny detail. Gorgeous room and I have to say the nicest breakfast I've ever eaten. And as a bonus you have Trenchers fish and chips just around the corner. A lovely stay. Thank you!

Great short stay

We arrived at York house hotel for a one night stay, we were greeted by the host and taken to our room, everything was first class and spotless. The room was spacious and modern, the home made cookies were awesome and breakfast had a great choice to choose from and was really nice, we would highly recommend this hotel It will be our first choice next time we visit the area.
