The location is excellent, the staff were all really nice and helpful, dining room and food, very good. Sadly, no lift, so being on the top floor was a bit awkward, and our room, though clean and tidy, and comfortable, was a bit tired, and the noise from the fairground across the road, and the boy racers in the night was intrusive because, in the heatwave we had to leave the windows open because there is no A.C. in the main building (there is in the annex). Not a destination hotel for me, but very convenient for a stay in Shields. Having free parking on site was a big plus.

Whilst the accommodation is basic, it’s comfortable and well located by the sea front in Shields. A few minor irks could be easily improved upon ( luke warm tea for breakfast, instant coffee!!! , not even filtered, full breakfast is good, but a smaller portion of beans would do most people) . Otherwise it’s value for money

It could do with a bit more attention around the back of the bed and cupboard as it was a little bit dusty, but other than that the room was very clean. Bathroom was very clean. I couldn't work out how to turn on the tv, so i left it and watched YouTube on my phone. The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Shelley, the bar staff was helpful also, she is a credit to your team. I would stay there again in the future.

The room was a good size but smelled badly. We opened the windows which did clear it eventually. Found someone else's deodorant on the floor under the desk. The staff are very nice. Car park is free and always had spaces. Great location for the sea front. We had hreakfast off-site so can't comment on that.
