Our room was really spacious and clean and the hotel had a really great vibe to it with a huge staircase and worldly carpet. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The Automatic check in machine was speedy and great

This is a beautiful property with lots of history and character but not at expense of a comfy bed and decent bathroom etc. Has a lift and a self check in which was helpful. We are in the restaurant for brekky and dinner and it was great and they did fabulous cocktails in the Tickets Bar. Good location close to station obviously and was quiet and comfy whilst also being a big fancy. Would stay again.

Friendly reception (thanks Daniel). The hotel is adjacent to the station and therefore ideal if arriving by train. It’s a little bit dated and a bit of a warren but the room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was roomy too.

It's an old hotel with history and character. The staff are excellent: polite and helpful. There's a lift to all floors, but still some stairs to some rooms. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The electrical wiring seems old, but everything works. There's no air conditioning. You can hear the station, especially at the back. Tea and coffee are in the room (but no milk or creamer). Some sound bleeds from the room next door. It has a grand entrance and is ideally situated for the Centre and Quayside. I didn't use the bar or have breakfast. I'd be content to stay here again.

The building is old but has great character and the staff are amazing. My partner needed a room without having to negotiate stairs due to sight difficulties. The staff were amazing in organising a room and in ensuring a peep was done immediately… so very helpful
