Couldn't recommend this hotel more, perfectly placed for Beamish museum, spotless, food excellent ,staff couldn't have been nicer,room cosy, wasn't expecting much for such a reasonable price but pleasantly surprised, couple of nice pubs within walking distance too

The staff were really friendly, and helpful, the best bit about the hotel was the staff, the breakfast was excellent and the breakfast area was clean and fresh but unfortunately the rest of the hotel was very tired and dated, great location for the GNR which was the purpose of our stay, great parking and only 25 mins drive to the Metro station, also only a 7 min drive to The Beamish museum

Lovely friendly welcome at Reception. And had a nice meal with good service in the restaurant. The breakfast is cooked to order and was served hot and tasty. Julia was our fab waitress who looked after us at breakfast. The room was clean, a good size and comfortable bed and nice to have a bath and separate shower.

Warm welcome, nice room, well appointed, but could do with air conditioning. Reception found a fan which was welcomed. The receptionist was so welcoming and quick check in and information she gave was helpful. Bedrooms were clean and modern bathroom with large shower. The staff were amazing and so friendly. U could park your car outside bedrooms window, which was convenient.

Clean and functional room. Cold shower wasn’t the best. Wouldn’t get hot. Big gap between bottom of the front door and floor meant we could hear everything when people walked past. Location of the room was odd as it looked like it was in the middle of a wedding venue. Wished there was plug sockets by the bed.
