Albion did an amazing job renovating this beautiful historic landmark building in Summit NJ from its original site from 1868 to an astonishing updated hotel and restaurant.

Family Visit

Spent the Easter weekend here visiting family. The king deluxe room was perfect for my husband and I as well as entertaining some family as it had a lovely sitting area along with a sunroom furnished with a table and four upholstered chairs . We enjoyed dinner Friday night as well as Easter Brunch on Sunday at their restaurant

I had a really nice stay at the Grand Summit Hotel. The staff were super nice and helpful, the rooms were really clean and visually aesthetic, and the complimentary breakfast was nice. I only stayed for a night so I wasnt able to check out the pool or anything, but the interoir and lobby of the hotel was really pretty!

Long term creature comforts were met while we had the responsibility of cleaning out a house. Great location to downtown Summit for dining and train to NYC.

This stately old hotel has unique features and the rooms are tidy. The location is good if you are going in and out of NYC. The breakfast is okay, but the tavern has seen better days.

A gem of a place to stay

Fantastic! Unique old world charm updated to the 21st century. Rooms a bit small, but no complaints. The staff are friendly and check in was quick and easy. Great location about 2 blocks from Summit center where food and shopping abound. I can't wait for my next trip to Summit and The Grand Summit Hotel.

The staff were all very nice and accomodating. The room was sparcely decorated but comfortable. Love the location and history of the property. The negatives were the gym - what a wasted space, dark and small; the restaurant and bars were closed; and the breakfast was mediocre.

Other than the fact that the check in was slow because there was a wedding party check in the same time, and only one person on the front desk, all was good. Lovely room facing the front. Upgraded bathroom…. Very nice for an older hotel.

Lovely Little Slice of History

This was a charming place to stay: incredibly friendly staff, clean room that maintained its historic feel while providing modern amenities. (Very affordable compared to surrounding options.) Close to vibrant downtown with lots of shops, restaurants, cafes. I read some of the other reviews, and I don't understand why some folks expect a 5-star corporate hotel experience when they choose a hotel like this. I often travel to this area, and this will be my new go-to: clean, affordable, professional, and lovely.
