- Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
Thugs. Looters it was a very bad experience. Started bad ended bad. Just not a good experience at all.
In the city center, The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel is in New York's Midtown neighborhood, an area with good shopping. Broadway Theatre and Gershwin Theater are cultural highlights, and some of the area's notable landmarks include Times Square and Top of the Rock. Check out an event or a game at Madison Square Garden, and consider making time for Central Park Zoo, a top attraction not to be missed. Boat tours offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails and rock climbing nearby. Our guests appreciate the hotel's central location for the sightseeing. It's also convenient to public transportation: 7 Av. Station (E 53rd St.) is just steps away and 50 St. Station (Broadway) is 3 minutes by foot.

I'll tell you what i think of the property...but first: the day after I checked in I became very ill. I think i had a bad oyster and it seemed like food poisoning. I was basically in bed (and the bathroom) for 2 straight days. Enissa the housekeeper asked if i was ok. I told her I was ill and my room was a "crime scene" but i really needed it to be cleaned. She came right in while i huddled in the corner and cheerfully cleaned my disgusting mess with zero complaint. From then on she checked on me daily and frequently asked if i needed water or anything. It was like having my mom right outside. Its no fun being really sick when you're traveling but Enissa comforted me and gave me peace of mind. I would never expect this of a hotel employee. She's unique and just a sweet person. I stayed here many years ago, and yes, its a little run down but still quite comfortable and the rooms are clean and functional. It's a fantastic location - right in the middle of the city. Its very easy to get anywhere you want to go. The folks that run the breakfast counter in the lobby were very kind and friendly also. I will stay here again.
