I enjoyed my stay at the Leo house in new york. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is great and within walking distance to Subway's, taxi's and easy access to transportation. Plenty of shops to walk around and some excellent experiences. Not that far from time square either. Just wish I had 24/7 access to a minifridge and or a microwave.

I wanted to like this place more; I felt safe staying there, the bed was comfy, and the staff was nice. However, the room I had wasn't clean; my feet got dirty walking across the floor and I had to wipe them off before I got in bed. I knew that the building was dated, no problem with that, but the bathroom was gross. Paint was peeling from the tiles around the toilet, sink, and bathtub. Inside the tub, the paint was peeled and rust was evident not just around the drain. I did not feel clean or sanitary showering in there; and even though it was a single room, the door wouldn't even shut all the way. Pros though, the breakfast was good and it was a good location for sightseeing.

The Leo House is always such a gem to stay at when I go to NYC!! The price is unbeatable, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and overall it’s a pleasant stay with a welcoming feel, as if you’re staying at a close friend’s house for a few days. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a hotel to stay in NYC that is clean, affordable, simple, and friendly!
