The hotel was in a great location, very clean and spacious room. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was there was no hotel parking. The lot that was nearby and discounted with the hotel stay was an unexpected high cost.

We absolutely love this hotel. We went back recently for our second visit. Everyone from the doorman to the front desk is super nice and helpful. Rooms are generously sized for a NYC hotel - great for people who need a little extra space. Hotel is very quiet. We love the neighborhood - and it's not even a full block from the subway. Quick and easy to get anywhere you want in the city! We will DEFINITELY be back!

The rooms are always large with plenty of cupboard and drawer space. This particular room was quite dark unfortunately as there was very little natural light getting in. The beds are very comfortable and the hotel is conveniently situated for us. It is very helpful to have the kitchenette. The San Carlos is consistently great, you always know you will get a good size room and good amenities

This place is no-frills without much of a lobby and no on-site restaurant, but it is really good quality for the price and a great location, walkable to Rockefeller, Times Square, Grand Central, Central Park, etc. We booked a suite and it was especially helpful to have a second bathroom for our family. Bobby was also incredibly helpful, he set up airport rides for us and had excellent customer service. Everyone that we came in contact with that worked there was very kind.
