Liked: Staff & service

The front desk was helpful and it was a clean bed for a quick overnight. If you’re seeing a show at Bowery ballroom it’s a good location. Beyond that though it is branded as luxury and certainly is not. I didn’t expect it to be deep down, but I also didn’t expect it to be that poor. Air conditioning didn’t work and it was 88 degrees in the room when I got there and didn’t go lower than 82.

The location was exactly what we were looking for. The price was excellent. The room is very no frills. For example, there was no desk or chair. The views were amazing. Overall. It worked out great.

4/10 Poor

Disliked: Cleanliness
Hotel is in a nice area however we were severely disappointed by the state of cleanliness of the space. Our room had dirty towels and throughout our entire stay we had no hot water in the shower. Lobby bathroom was also not taken care of whenever we used it. The amenities are very basic and beware, there’s no AC in them or in the lobby during the summer. Plan ahead if you are on a strict time limit as there’s only one elevator and it takes an eternity. However, the rooftop and hotel rooms had really nice view so that’s a plus. The area has plenty around it; bodegas, bars, late night food, train stations < 5 mins away, so if you truly only need a place to crash, this’ll do.

Good: * Location * Close to Subway Station(s) * Walking distance to Soho * Fantastic food variety around the area * Hotel Service * Staff was very accommodating to the issues I faced and was quick resolve Bad: * Location * Restaurants/Bars are located across the hotel and are usually open until 3am - large, drunk and loud crowds keeping you awake * Hotel * Room Key Scanner - Room Key had to get changed everytime I came back from the city * Had to switch rooms because the original room given had a malfunctioning A/C

Great to wake up over the sunrise to wake you up. The bathrooms are really nice and are great to get situated. I enjoyed the stay for 1 night for a quick layover. Definitely in the heart of LES and Chinatown. Has subways within walking distance. Great for solo and couple travelers.

The room was very very small for the price but very clean. Luckily we only had 2 back packs. Not sure where we would have put suitcases. Location is great! Staff very friendly and we were able to leave bags for free before check in and after check out. Rooftop has nice view of Empire State Building.

Staff were great. Room was a bit shabby and rough around the edges, but not dirty or messy. Just used (furniture and curtains were a bit old and showing it). Views were great. Nice, simple rooftop. Rooms are tiny, but not surprising. Great location (near shops, food, subway, etc).
