The place looks nice like that pictures, and there's no elevator. The lady tried to give me a janky room until I asked for a better one. I've been to much better hotel for less than what i paid to stay here.

It’s good if you want to be close to the action but not too close to where it’s right out the door. It’s still quite loud but the complimentary ear plugs help. The pictures on here don’t really look like what it actually does but similar. Semi clean, very basic stay and small rooms. The owner (?) was nice, he’d say hi/goodnight when I’d come in. I’d probably stay here again for the price. Would appreciate a little fridge and microwave though!

The air in the room did not work, though it wasnt a big deal for me, since it was cool out anyways. The room felt safe and was clean. It was loud, which is to be expected in the city. I certainly return again!

Midtown West Hotel is pretty much the least expensive accommodation you're going to find in Manhattan that isn't a hostel or a unit with a shared bathroom. Great location, just a couple blocks from MSG and the subway. They don't include amenities like an in-room safe or temperature control, but the room has a bathroom, the bed is comfortable enough, and again the location is just absolutely excellent.

The room I booked was absolutely disgusting! Stained sheets, toilet didnt flush, and COCKROACHES! EVERYTHING had stains and was dirty. The shampo,conditioner, and lotion all expired in 2024. They did give us another room and the staff was kind, but it wasnt much better. Never again will i stay here.

They take care of the rooms and provide all you need for a place to lay your head. It is noisy but all of NYC is really isn’t it? Not a place to hang out in, but the bed was comfy and no one travels to NYC to just hang out in a hotel room . I got the experience of a New Yorker living in a studio apartment.

This place is amazing. If you’ve only ever traveled in US and Canada and think you need 300sq ft to sleep this is not for you. If stairs are a deal breaking not for you. Now if you’ve left North America where every hotel is 120 sq ft you will LOVE THIS PLACE. Safe, 2 minutes from Penn Station and Garden. Slept THERE. NOT vacationed there. For 3 days. $190. If you’re a solo world traveler book this place ASAP.

Great value for price

The place was really clean and pretty decent for the price. It's a basic hotel room but we were happy with the value. The area is really great, as it is super close to the subway and train station. Times Square was also a short walk away.
