This hotel just seemed like it hadn't been updated in years. The door to the bathroom was splintered on the bottom. The furniture looked beat up. I could barely fit in the bathroom by myself (although that's a very NYC hotel thing.) It was just okay for a one-night stay for one person.

Desk staff and other staff were verify friendly and helpful. The location so close to Central Park is excellent! Parking is the usual NYC problem but we found some street parking. Air conditioner worked well. Breakfast was much better than we expected - good variety that changed every day. Overall a good place to stay in NYC.

The room was small but not the smallest in NYC. The hallways were dirty and in desperate need of new carpet. The foyer, elevator and breakfast room were not air conditioned and felt like a sauna.

Property is in poor condition. Staff told me they are getting a fell remodel, and it needs it. Check-in was a mess—delayed, and keys they gave me initially didn’t work. Of the 4 they eventually gave me, only 1 worked. I staff member was very nice, but others were brusque at best.
