I love this place. 2nd time staying here. Very clean and in a great location. Very close to many hot spots on the city. The price is great for what you get. The bathrooms are shared, but I never had to wait to use it. I will say that there is no elevators in the building, so if you are not staying on the first floor you have to use the stairs. Not a huge deal as it keeps you in shape, just like the walking in the city does! For parking we used the Madison Square garden garage, as it is just 2 blocks away.

I was in NY for 2 nights on my own and the Lamartine Chelsea was perfect. I was there for a concert at MSG and it was only an 8 minute walk. Times Square was also in walking distance. I felt safe and my room and all the facilities were clean.

Place is good. For the price and location, i would come back again. Area is a bit darker at night and some homeless. I guess NY is like that nowadays. Stay is pleasant.

Great Economical Place to stay while visiting NYC

Lamartine Chelsea is in a great location, close to Times Square, Broadway, The High Line, and so on. It's a great price for the city. Nothing fancy but it's clean and comfortable. We don't spend much time in our room when we go to New York so it was just a place to sleep and clean up. Fantastic spot if that is what you are looking for. Check in was smooth and they let us leave our bags there after check out until we were ready to head home.

This property is close to Penn Station, which was important for my trip. There are several restaurants and convenience stores in the area. The rooms are plain but functional. I appreciated being able to turn the air conditioning on and off as needed. Overall I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely consider returning.
