The staff was very friendly and the cafe attached to the hotel had some of the best chai I’ve ever had!

I didn’t like how rude managers and front desk staff was. Didn’t like our room smelled like weed out clothes smelled after they moved our room at 1am and unsafe hostile environment I felt uncomfortable and I was disrespected. The kind people were the bellman snd housekeeping

Our room (#521) smelled like a combination of moth balls and sewage. We requested a new room and the receptionist said, “no.” Instead they told us that they would bring up an air machine and spray the room while we were out. My step-son went back to the receptionist after being in the smelly room for a few minutes and managed to get us a new room. The new room was very quiet, comfortable and did not smell.

It's disappointing that your request for a new room wasn't initially accommodated, and I understand how frustrating it must have been to encounter resistance from the receptionist.However, I'm glad to hear that your step-son was able to eventually secure a new room for you, which was comfortable, quiet, and free from unpleasant smells. It's essential that guests feel comfortable and satisfied with their accommodations, and it seems that the hotel was able to rectify the situation for you..I hope that despite the initial inconvenience, you were able to enjoy the rest of your stay in New York City. Nice, small hotel with excellent staff and customer service. Could use a few more amenities in the room but all in all good stay, friendly and easy walk to NHM.
