It’s a good hotel for simply coming back to sleep. It is well-located. The breakfast buffet is good, though it could be better; the food is the same every day, it could use some variety. It’s fine for a business trip where you just need a place to sleep, or for sightseeing when you only return to the room to rest. The room and bathroom were clean, although the room itself is small.

You can tell the Hotel is a bit older than others we have stayed in. It is a perfect location. Walking within minutes to Times Square, Bryant Park, Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, The Subway, Grand Central Station, The public library, and many more places. It’s great to have breakfast include with the stay and also have so many close options to walk to for food, drinks, and souvenirs. The chairs in the dining area are a little rundown and did not hinder our stay. Overall, we would stay here again.

Overall, I had a positive experience. The location was great, and the entire staff was very helpful—Stephen at the front desk, in particular, provided outstanding service. However, I did notice a couple of areas for improvement. The room could benefit from some renovation, and the breakfast selection felt a bit repetitive.

Don’t be thrown off by the gritty exterior (under scaffolding). This hotel was perfectly adequate and quite comfortable. Aside from the filthy carpet in our room (hard to avoid and maintain interior flooring in an urban setting such as NYC) we had a comfortable stay in a very convenient location.
