The room was lovely, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, my only note is if arriving before check-in, they share a “lobby” restroom with the restaurant next door. It’s accessible via the hotel elevator but not an ideal spot to freshen up after a flight. We slept amazing, street noise was minimal with the windows shut and having a small balcony was such a cool surprise. Would absolutely stay here again! So close to Times Square but definitely a quieter street compared to others nearby.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Scherman. The historic property is well-restored and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and accommodating! We appreciated the room upgrade and champagne to help celebrate my husband’s birthday! It is an easy walk to the noisy streets of Times Square, but the hotel is a quiet place to go back to. The breakfast is great with several options. The croissants are especially good! There is also a great little coffee shop called St. Kilda’s a few doors down. The Port Authority bus terminal is an easy walk from the hotel if you travel in via bus or subway.
