Great location, decent price. Front desk staff was kind, housekeeping was very pushy and demanded tips, even lingered outside the door for a few minutes asking for a tip when we were leaving. I did tip later but didn’t have any cash on me at that moment. Entered our room even with the privacy sign on, attempting to service the room. My partner refused housekeeping at this time, and he told her not to say no and not to close the door. Was scary to myself and my partner. Room was 81 degrees when we came in, just had to pump the a/c for the day and go somewhere else. Room smelled a bit like smoke, but otherwise was very clean which was nice. Breakfast was great. Elevator was out of service. For the location it’s fantastic if you’re needing to be in Bay Ridge. However, I would encourage you to stay somewhere else if you can, you’ll find a similar room for maybe a higher price.

I've stayed at the Gregory multiple times and I come back for a reason. The staff is always kind and diligent and the neighborhood is wonderful. I normally stay during the week. The food service is great, but on the weekends breakfast item run out so fast that the staff can't keep up. I call them weekend locusts. People who eat three and four plates of breakfast because it's free. Other than the staff having trouble keeping up with that, it's just a wonderful place to stay, and that's why I keep coming back.
