Very nice boutique hotel. It doesn’t have all the amenities as other hotels but it was a nice stay. The resturant in the lobby was a nice addition. We would stay again.

I loved staying at this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and very well decorated. The location is amazing. It was a short walk to both bourbon street and the superdome. I would definitely stay here again.

The art in this hotel is amazing just like the staff. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful. It felt like we were visiting friends. The room was very clean and the appearance of the hotel is beautiful. We were in walking distance to over 90% of the places we wanted to visit. And if we didn't walk we took an Uber and the prices were reasonable .

This is such a beautiful hotel. It has been open for about four months I was told. The rooms were huge. Everything down to the decor was beautiful. The only thing that would keep me from staying at this hotel again is that the walls are very thin, which means the insulation is lacking. Other than that great hotel rate 8 out of 10.

This is a great place. Equidistant from French Quarter and Garden District, but so quiet and peaceful and easy… makes me feel (almost) bad for the poor schlubs who stay in some filthy big-name hotel a few streets away.

The location is perfect for anything you can think of. The hotel staff is amazing. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Loved being able to walkout to the trolley. Just a short walk to the French Quarters, Willie Mae’s and other local attractions.

Hotel was nice! Very quiet and clean. Location was close to a lot of places to visit. The only thing was parking that was annoying but thankfully we found parking in front to get things out. Staff helped us get the luggage’s which was great!

The property has only been operational for 2 weeks. When I arrived, I was informed that there was no parking in front of the hotel to unload our luggage. It was pouring rain. We had to find a random parking garage 2 blocks away and paid $150 for 4 fays of parking. We unloaded on the 5th floor of parking and made it through the pouring rain to the hotel once again. That set the tine for the trip. I think once they fix this issue, it will get better. The rooms are small but they are nice. The lobby, bar and reception are very good. The drinks and limited bar food is great. I think it's going to be hard for them to compete with other neighboring hotels with valet, pools and amendments. Certainly has boutique charm.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Monarch. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and conveniently located downtown within walking distance of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Our room was as described, and housekeeping refreshed it daily with clean towels. My only cleanliness concern was the floor, as the bottoms of our socks became noticeably dark, so I do wish it had been thoroughly mopped. There were a few inconsistencies with the advertised amenities. We paid a $23/night resort fee, but aside from Wi-Fi, I’m still unsure what the fee covered. There is also no traditional room service; food can be ordered from the downstairs bar but must be picked up. The website advertised valet parking, but valet was unavailable during our stay, which changed our plans to rent a car. Most of the staff were welcoming and helpful. One gentleman at the bar was especially kind and assisted with our luggage. Unfortunately, Rochelle was noticeably less welcoming and helpful than the other staff we encountered. On our final night, the elevator stopped working with no signage or notice from the front desk. This was especially difficult because I had injured my ankle and we were on the third floor. The next morning, another staff member apologized and made sure we received help bringing our luggage downstairs, which we greatly appreciated. The Monarch has a lot of potential, but I think communication, consistency, and clarity around advertised amenities and fees need improvement.
