Our first night was a bit rough because our room adjoined the dipping pool and the smell in the room was so musty I could taste it. The next day we asked the staff about it and they moved us to a non-smell room, comped us the first night and gave us a breakfast voucher. They really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

The hotel is very well located. The staff is nice and very helpful. The room is comfortable and amenities are ok. The only thing I could point out as an opportunity is the rug in the bedroom, I’d eliminate it. Had a great stay, if I’m back to Nola I’d stay here again.

We always stay at The St. James hotel when we are in New Orleans. We can walk to the quarter but the St. James is in a quiet area. Breakfast at the Ruby Slipper was excellent nearby.
