We were very disappointed with our stay. We've stayed in several other La Quinta's and had positive experiences and reserved this one for our stopover based on the reviews. We had a late check in (~1:30am) and it was very quick, however we quickly noticed the building needed maintenance.
We parked on the side of the building closest to the room where there was a side entrance. However there was a note stating to use the main entrance since the card reader was busted. When we entered the room and were getting the kids ready to go to be, we observed the bed sheets and pillow cases were stained and worn. When we checked the bathroom we noticed it was not properly cleaned. There were stains on and around the toilet and there were strands of hair in the bathtub. The shower curtain was also worn and had mold stains at the bottom. I used our cleaning wipes to clean up the bathroom, but this made us feel uneasy with the level of cleanliness in the bedroom. The furniture in the room was very outdated and the chair looked as if a cat had used it as a toy.
I can understand that there might not be sufficient funds to upgrade the facilities, but hotel management can control how clean their hotel rooms are, and this is where we found it quite lacking.
