Perfect couples retreat!

Amazing! Cozy and cute! Highly recommend this place for couples. Great river views and walking distance to downtown Gruene. Staff was so friendly! We will be coming back!

Amazing service!

Great little inn. Staff was friendly, room was comfortable and we loved the overall feel of the hotel. Older inn but great attention to detail. Loved being on the river too! So great! Would come back again.

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. Beautifully decorated. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. Rooms were quiet and very clean. Short walk to the dance hall and restaurants. Each room had a view of the river. Smelled wonderful!!!! We will be back for sure.

Beautiful property! Quaint, gorgeous view of the Guadalupe. Staff is so friendly. Everything is clean and nice. You can order breakfast tacos for the morning. Coffee, tea and juice hot and fresh. We will definitely stay here again!!

The overall stay was great. We could hear quite a bit of noise from our upstair nieghbors , it sounded like they were moving furniture. Well actually you can hear the noise on the floor where people are walking. Rooms are small. Overall rooms are very nice.

Lovely anniversary trip to gruene

We loved our visit! Most of the hotel was under renovation but it wasnt even very noisey from in the room. The room itself if lovely, cozy, and well equipped. Down to the shampoo dispensers to the Nespresso machine. The views from the balcony are wonderful and make you feel like you are farther away from the xity than you are. Downtown Gruene is still walkable from the hotel, though it is a little way down the road from the main footprint. We even would walk by deer to and from the Inn. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Cant wait to come back when the rest of the hotel is completed.

Property was rustic & quiet. .my friend & i needed help w/our luggage to get up steps but staff & Jane were glad to help us. .it was what i expected & a good visit. .every B&B had breakfast w/room in room charge. .ur Inn is shown in B&B category in Google as #2. .so we were expecting to meet people at breakfast . .i believe u should provide a small breakfast w/room. .hotels are doing this as a nice convenience. .especially if they qualify you as a B&B. .

It is being renovated so the outside is a little rough still but the inside and rooms are gorgeous. It’s going to be perfect when it’s all said snd done. Location is great snd walkable to Gruene Hall.

This property was under renovation when we stayed. They did a good job alerting us to this so no surprise there. Good communication ahead of time. This is a very small property. Check in hours were 3:00 - 6:00 and if you needed a time after 6:00 you need to let them know. After 6:00, the only person working the property left so you are kind of on your own. You have contact with someone via text if you need anything, which we did, and they were responsive. Someone was back in the morning around 8:00. Parking was easy. They offered to help bring our bags upstairs (no elevator) for us, but we managed. Perhaps there is an elevator in the lobby which was being renovated. There is a nice large deck on the right side of the property. Property is right on the river so easy access to that. The views from the balcony were lovely. The room is cozy and clean and the beds and pillows super comfortable. There is a small fridge/freezer and a Nespresso in the room. No closet and limited drawers for storage so if you are staying more than a night that might be a problem. We were downstairs and woken by the people walking upstairs, but that isn't the property's fault. Maybe ask for an upstairs room if you are worried about this. Great location. Very walkable to the shops and restaurants close by. We would definitely stay there again.

This place didn't meet my expectations. I thought I had booked a hotel room that would have basic amenities such as a reception desk that was open for check in more than 2 hours (3-5 p.m.) a day. Instead it was basically a room that we had to access (with complications) with a code that did not work. I booked the reservation through Expedia and pre-paid for my room. A few days before my arrival I got a weird text from the Inn asking me to give them my credit card information by email and authorize a minimal charge ($1.00). I did not feel comfortable responding with my credit information by text or email and wasn't sure that the message was legitimately from the Inn. On the day of my arrival they sent me a few messages which I just skimmed since I was busy with my travels and didn't have time to check my messages. One of the messages stated that check in was from 3-5 p.m. but I didn't understand that was the only time that someone would be on site to help us check in. We arrived after 8 p.m. and had a very difficult time getting in touch with someone to check us in. We eventually were sent instructions on how to use a code and a keypad to get into our room. The code did not work. So we had to send multiple messages to try to get help getting into our room. The lock finally was opened remotely, presumably by the Inn's off-site staff. However, this didn't solve the problem of the faulty code so we could not both leave our room at the same time since we would not be able to re-
