I loved the place but there was nobody there when it was time to check in. I was sent instructions in French and I don't speak French. Thank goodness another guest was leaving and although they spoke French they took me to my room and showed me how to get in. I loved the place though and it was a great deal for the price. I'd definitely stay there again.

Riding the Eurovelo 6, we were looking for a place to relax and recharge. We enjoyed the little apartment with a kitchenette, and friendly, helpful staff. There was a safe indoor place to store our bikes, and shopping nearby. I hated to leave!

The apartment itself was pretty good. Excellent bathroom and a large lounge. It would be good to have some furniture on the balcony. The surrounding area is quiet and a fair distance from any shops or restaurants. The staff, when you could get hold of them. We were staying in Nevers for the motorcycle world championship at nearby Magny Cours. Three days here is long enough.

10 minutes walk to the Nevers centre. Property was clean and team members were polite. Secure car parking is included which is always a bonus. Room was adequate for an overnight. I feel housekeeping/building maintenance could do a little bit more. Laundry trollies in the corridor's, no toilet roll holder, it just sits on top of toilet. Fixtures loose that a screwdriver would solve. Kitchen and bathroom soap dispensers mounted on wall, however they were empty with soap refills sitting beside them. None of these things are biggies and not enough to complain to the host about, but would have improve this review. Kitchenette was fine. Room was clean and we slept well and woke relaxed.

Just what we needed

We used the apartments twice as we passed through Nevers with our two dogs. This was perfect for us. Clean, spacious and bright. The fan was really helpful too. Very pleased with both stays.

Beware, it’s a room in an elderly care home!

It didn’t say anywhere that this apartment is part of an old age home. The pictures of the communal spaces for the property are for the use of the care home residents. All of the property facilities are clearly for elderly residents. The shower room is designed for wheelchair users. I’d understand if the property was advertised as being designed for disabled people, but it is just because it is part of a care home. They are clearly just renting out rooms they’ve been unable to sell to elderly residents. Most of the things in the room had been bought from Amazon Basics, so you have an idea of the level of investment and care going into the property. The apartment was filled with bugs crawling all over the walls and windows and we couldn’t wait to leave. Not exactly an apartment, and certainly somewhere you’d want to spend as little time as possible.
