“This is a lovely hotel. We stayed in a luxury double room, which was nice with a spacious bathroom and great shower. Our dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced and staff were all very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking across the road from the hotel.”

“I was very happy with my stay. I just feel they need to put a stronger fan in the room, as the rooms are upstairs and has a skylight window, which can't be opened and so the room gets extremely hot in there. The fan they have is not strong enough to keep the room cool, especially on extremely hot days. Otherwise the staff were excellent and the food is simply amazing.”

“Set in a lovely building and village with beautiful views. Really recommend. Rooms a little bit tired but did not ruin our stay as it was a great base. Mexican restaurant, bar and outside space was lovely. There is a local shop and some pubs within walking distance in the village too. Close to Yeovil etc. Would definitely stay again. Thank you”

“We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. Don’t be put off by the facade as once you step inside the hotel it is wonderful. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful and they work really hard. The room was really clean with super comfy beds and the air con was fabulous. The evening meal we had was very enjoyable and good value for money. The breakfast was again excellent with just the right amount of choice and at £10 each was again very good value for money. We would not hesitate...

“Good location for strolling around Langport with its cafes,independent shops , gardens and river walks . The library is very close with an outdoors area . We had a room in the courtyard , good in the heatwave . Sometimes had to park further away in town car park ..still free ,though in autumn 2026 may have to pay . Staff helpful .”

“The agree to give us a late check out, and when we arrive the have taken all our things and put them in a store, and a simple sorry, mistake was made! Terrible service ”

“Our stay at Peckingmill Inn was excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Geoff was an excellent host, accommodating our needs for a vegetarian breakfast. Geoff clearly cares about his guests' experiences, and that means a lot. The only minus was the traffic noise at night, but that is not Geoff's fault.”
