I booked a stay at Fun Holiday Beach Resort knowing it was an older, budget-friendly property, so I kept my expectations realistic. I wasn’t expecting a luxury resort, but I did expect basic standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort. Unfortunately, my experience was much worse than I anticipated. I booked two rooms, and both had multiple issues. One room had no towels upon arrival, and the toilet was dirty and heavily stained with rust. The bed sheets had holes in them, which was unacceptable. The rooms were poorly maintained overall. The lamp in my room couldn’t be used because the only electrical outlet was on the opposite side of the bed, and the cord wasn’t long enough to reach it. There were no telephones in the rooms and no Wi-Fi, making it inconvenient to contact the front desk or stay connected. The biggest concern was the condition of the room doors. Both rooms had large gaps around the doors that were big enough for insects and small lizards to enter the room. That made it difficult to feel comfortable during the stay. The resort’s online photos also make the property appear to be in much better condition than it actually is. They do not accurately represent the current state of the rooms. I understood I was booking a budget resort and adjusted my expectations accordingly. However, clean rooms, towels, intact bed linens, working amenities, and properly maintained accommodations are basic expectations at any hotel. Unfortunately, this property did not m

The property is conveniently located about mid point along the 7 mile beach. The staff is friendly and courteous. My room was clean and well kept. Internet service was non-existent from my room and the cable tv was grainy. Dining options are minimal if you do not take the ‘All Inclusive’ option. The pool and beach view from my room was great.

For the location and the price, it had everything I needed. It was clean, the staff really looked out for us, the room was nice, had everything I needed, including an ocean view from the lovely balcony, and a hot shower, though some other guests said they weren’t getting any. We didn’t get all inclusive, but the meals I ate were delicious. The beach was amazing, of course, and there are a ton of great places to eat, drink and be merry all around. We didn’t stay long enough to try them all. I loved my stay, and if I’m back in Negril, I know I’ll be having a Fun Holiday. Ask for room A106

Very basic hotel. Not worth $100 per night more like $50. Cat was drinking from a cup near where the tea was put off for guests. Pool was dirty. Beach was lovely. Bedroom needs updating. Only a sheet on it. No blankets. Needs pillows. 3 small flats ones on a king size bed. Not very comfortable. Takes 5 mins for hot water to kick in. Was not offered all inclusive deal but the I can see the food and drinks are very limited. Dinner wasn’t ready at 8pm. They were still cooking the buffet.

The mattess was lucky 4’ thick, the air didn’t work property, there was no way you could pull out the sleeper sofa if you wanted to. It was nasty! The pool was green. When I said something about it. Oh the pool guy don’t work on Sundays and it had rain that day. Sorry no pool get to looking like that from 1 day. With me traveling with my grand daughter I didn’t feel safe at all.
