Amazing location, super friendly and helpful ladies on reception and stunning view from rooftop patio with a hot tub. It was also very clean and bed was really comfy. The only point is the washroom is tiny, but it’s a historical centre, so it would be everywhere. Worth every dollar we paid!

Unfortunately the rooftop hot tub was unavailable due to damage caused by recent hurricane. Not the hotels fault and they are working to repair the damage but would have been nice to know since this was a factor in booking this property. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a shared kitchen available and the provided breakfast was excellent! Location close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Can’t be beat.

Charming hotel that was steps from the beach and with great restaurants right below. Our balcony and the rooftop hot tub had fantastic views of the water and of the Nazare cliffs. Attentive and friendly hotel staff, who we hope to see again soon.

Melissa was a very accommodating and welcoming host. We had a lovely stay at By the Sea and wish we could have stayed longer. The bathroom was clean and the room was nicely decorated. There was even a hanger to put on the balcony to dry our clothes. The restaurant downstairs was delicious and everything was close by.
