“What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. “We got to this property by chance. What a fun surprise. It is an old but very well kept inn. It has many beautiful hikes around. It is in the middle of nowhere. And that makes it even more fantastic. ”

“Loved the old 17th century beams in the rooms and the uneven floors. Property was very quiet - even with the Football World Cup semi-final on while we were there. Staff were all incredibly helpful and loved the breakfast. 100% recommend and would love to take my dog next time as they are very dog friendly (they get a sausage at breakfast!).”
