“This hotel was in a great position to walk down to Bergerac and look around the many lovely shops and restaurants it has to offer. The room was modern and the bed was comfortable. The air con worked well in the room and there was a kettle. The only negative was that the tea bags/sugar weren’t replaced and there was no milk left. The receptionist we had for the weekend we were there (August 22-25th) was outstanding! She was very helpful, had excellent english and couldnt do more for you. As...

“The three of us (my wife and I and our 2-year old daughter) spent two nights during Easter weekend and it was really all right: room was large, super confortable and very clean, the staff was amazingly nice and eager to help, and the location was excellent (just 2 minutes walking from city center). Breakfast was also fine. Excellent cost-benefit relationship. Highly recommendable.”

Not a hotel but a guest house in a refinished and vibrantly appointed (200 year-old?) historical home newly acquired and attentively managed by Sandra, Michael and son Valentin who were the most welcoming, engaging and thoughtful hosts imaginable. “Magnífico establecimiento cerca de St-Émilion y de los viñedos. Ayse, la manager, nos recibió fantásticamente bien. Es muy profesional, atenta, cercana y siempre con una sonrisa. El edificio, los jardines y el entorno son muy bonitos.. Es un lugar tranquilo con muy bonitas vistas al río Dordogne. La habitación muy cómoda. “Food is excellent and we were made very welcome despite arriving late for dinner after a long drive. The chateau itself is a lovely building in a beautiful setting and is furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and modern. Atmosphere is relaxed and informal. We didn’t have time to use the spa facilities but will do next time we visit.”
