On an island with giant all-inclusive mega-resorts, British Colonial was a wonderful throwback hotel. It was clean and quiet with an understated elegance, and easily walkable to downtown and a number of restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. Hotel has a nice private beach and pool area. It is located near the port, so you can see the cruise ships sail in and out of the harbor, a rather impressive sight.

Location is great, close to all the major spots if needed. Close to cruise port and all that has available. We stayed with our 2 kids. Room was great, beds ok and air con very good. Coffee shop opens at 7am and pools and private beach is open 24/7. Food is great. It’s prime spot for watching the cruise ships come and go too. All in all a great stay with some major history attached. Loved it!
