Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Serious Safety Issue and Unacceptable Response Our three-night stay was seriously compromised by water intrusion that AvantStay knew about before our arrival. We were told the leak had been repaired, yet water again came through the kitchen ceiling. An emergency plumber cut open the ceiling and instructed us not to use the primary shower or certain overhead electrical lights because of the leak. This was a serious safety hazard—not merely an inconvenience. We immediately offered to relocate, but AvantStay could not move us to another unit, leaving us in a property undergoing emergency repairs. This was especially disappointing because we were celebrating an 80th birthday. Even worse, AvantStay has been unwilling to rectify the situation. Corporate staff have been extremely difficult to reach by phone, unhelpful in resolving the matter. AvantStay knew of the problem, failed to adequately resolve it, could not relocate us, and has failed to provide an appropriate resolution. I would not recommend this property or AvantStay.
