The quiet surroundings, the sound of the waterfall, and the birds singing in the forest made the stay peaceful and relaxing. I woke up around 5:30 to the birds and took a refreshing walk in the woods. Even though it’s summer and very hot outside, the room stayed naturally cool and comfortable without needing air conditioning. The breakfast buffet was delicious and really completed my stay. I’m very happy with this hotel and will definitely return with my family so they can enjoy it too.

Our room was in the main building and was excellent, clean and fully stocked with towels and robes. We also used the airport shuttle which was very easy to navigate. We will stay again if we have another layover in Narita.

The Art Hotel Narita does not have any Art if you are wondering. This place satisfies the need, quick shuttle bus which runs from 4:30AM to Narita. Big plus is onsen, hot spring, which is big inside and outdoors, if you enjoy relaxing in hot tub. The hotel itself is unbelievably old facilities that made us wonder if owners ever visit this place. Air conditioner only had 3 selections of strength (low, medium, high), low being super cold. Restaurant was yummy with all you can eat style, but over priced even with strong US dollar rate vs JPY yen.

The hotel appears nice, clean and well maintained from the lobby area. However one section of rooms (garden I believe) is very much run down and in bad condition compared to the rest of the hotel. This wasn’t evident in the photos or explained at any point. Bed was clean, but that’s about the only positive from the experience. Onsen was very nice.

They have a strict policy for check-in time. So there was a line waiting to be checked in before 3 pm. The hotel and room are very dated, but it was convenient to have a shuttle bus to go to Aeon Mall and Narita Airport.

We truly appreciate the free shuttle to the airport, JR station and to the mall. We were able to explore places without spending transportation before our check in time. We also enjoyed the variety of food on breakfast. Overall, it was a stay of comfort and convenience.
