“Really needs a cleaning and update”

“It's okay if it's only for a night but not for more. It's located in a service area and there is a lack of services (for example bar, gym or proper breakfast). Despite all, staff is very nice and helpful. ”

“It's a pretty setting and the room was clean. They seemd a little short staffed and, although the food was good, the tables were dirty and (bizarrely) the host told us the half empty restuarant was 'fully booked'. When we saw many empty tables, we asked the bar tender if it would be possible to order food and he was happy to oblige! Also, the lighting in our room was broken, the only way to have light was to keep the harsh overhead light on. The receptionist promised to send a service person but...

“A fabulous hotel down a picurtess country lane, plenty of parking, friendly staff. We checked in and booked an afternoon tea served in the Grand Hall which was delicious with plenty of tea, we spent the afternoon in the Spa, lovely facility, plenty of space, friendly staff an”

Room decor was ok but there were stains on wall and we had a view of a wall and it was very dark. Breakfast was very good but zero atmosphere. We were advised to book for what was described as a carvery type meal which we did but could only get one slot at 6.30 so booed that. We decided as there was such a long wait to go to the Knights tavern for a drink first and we saw the food being served and it looked really good so we asked if we could cancel the buffet and order there which we did and paid for the meal....
