“We stayed here for a night to break up a journey up north, and had a lovely stay. The property is close enough to key motorways but in a very tranquil setting in the country. We appreciated the car charging, nice restaurants, the swimming pool with family time, good quality breakfast and friendliness of staff.”

“It's a pretty setting and the room was clean. They seemd a little short staffed and, although the food was good, the tables were dirty and (bizarrely) the host told us the half empty restuarant was 'fully booked'. When we saw many empty tables, we asked the bar tender if it would be possible to order food and he was happy to oblige! Also, the lighting in our room was broken, the only way to have light was to keep the harsh overhead light on. The receptionist promised to send a service person but...

“This is a good hotel overall - the fridge and safe were not working on arrival and this was sorted out very quickly. The service in the restaurant on one of the nights was somewhat patchy (slow and wrong drink order twice and then waitress argued we were wrong when we weren't!) but otherwise it's pretty good - the room (king) was spacious with free drinks in the fridge.”

“Friendly helpful staff on reception, excellent breakfast, clean and well equipped room (Americans will find it small). Quite a complicated layout of the site which could do with better signage for those arriving after dark.”
