The hotel is excellent insofar as It’s beautifully designed, maintained - apart from the building elevator being out of service. A MAJOR PLUS is that I don’t think I’ve ever been as instantaneously attended to in any hotel like I was at this hotel. There isn’t anyone onsite but the WhatsApp messages are read and dealt with within seconds, day or night.
So, the hotel is great, five stars, but factors beyond the property itself detract and despite my satisfaction with the property, prevent me from giving it a perfect rating and recommendation.
Primarily it’s the noise from the streets, from the bar downstairs and all of the other bars around the piazza. It is a nighttime spot for hundreds of students to congregate. They are LOUDLY partying until at least 4:00am every single night throughout our stay. Saturday night was especially loud and never-ending. Adding to the negativity regarding the noise level is the dirtiness of the neighbourhood, the difficulty in navigating the dark, gloomy streets filled with garbage, broken glass, and speeding scooters, is kind of scary if you’re not accustomed to these kinds of environments, it’s off putting.
So… Overall, the hotel is great. The woman preparing the breakfast and attending to the rooms is amazing. The neighbourhood is a lot to take in if you’re not used to this. However, if you can adjust to Naples as it is, you will find the hotel to be well situated. We walked EVERYWHERE. Naples is an experience that can’t be written about
