There is no office/check-in at the motel itself. You must go to the sister hotel, Ivy House Hotel to check in. Unfortunately, there are steep stairs to access the front office and I am partially handicapped, making it quite the ordeal to get up the stairs and climb back down to check in. The room itself was clean and updated, and there was a decent restaurant out the back door of our room and across the parking lot. There was a boil water alert while we were there, so bottled water only to drink. Interesting place to visit, plenty of history, and water-related things to do there.

Second time staying here and will probably come back next year. Don’t be fooled by the exterior appearance. All rooms have been remodeled. Hot shower and comfy king size bed. Walking distance to restaurants and outfitters
