While very quaint and beautifully historic this place was slightly rundown. The front desk staff was a bit staunch, which put us off. Breakfast was included and was delicious. The queen bed room was very small and at that time I think due to a conference happening in town was very overpriced $500! Hotel Parking lot was full so we parked on the street.

The hotel has a vintage look to it, the decoration is nice and the customer service excellent. We had to leave early and we were not able to enjoy their breakfast, most places start at 6am, their breakfast starts a little late for us 8am. Overall a nice experience and would come back again.

Incredibly cute and cozy place in Napa. It was in a great location and the property itself was very clean and inviting. Staff were so friendly and helpful. I could not have loved my stay more. Wish I could have stayed additional nights. Highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Napa.

Definitely one of our better stays in Napa. The place is a charming Victorian-style house. Very clean. The staff's personal touch, especially Dolly, made it even better. Very close to downtown Napa- about a 7 to 10 minute walk on night-safe streets. The Napa Vine Trail is easily accessible via a short walk or bicycle ride.

Super cosy stay in beautiful house and cute walkable neighborhood next door. Great service. Very dog friendly. Wine social included as well as delicious breakfast. Short walk to downtown Napa. We loved our stay and will definitely come back next time we visit Napa.

We stayed in the back cottage unit. The room was a beautiful French country stylish design. Ample space and privacy. Lots of room in the walk in closet and a jacuzzi tub big enough for 2. Very comfortable king size bed with fresh sheets daily and a very luxurious comforter. There is a lovely breakfast service in the main house with an option to sit and dine with other guests. Otherwise just a French press coffee in the room . The staff offers a butler like service. Very professional and friendly. There were some items in the room that I had trouble getting to work properly like the ceiling fan and there were some drawers without knobs. But over all I was more than pleased with everything. I would choose to stay at The Charles again without hesitation.

Runie was an amazing host! He took good care of us when we arrived early before our room was ready and we had to leave to a wine tasting. Dotty was a gracious host, very cheerful and welcoming on our last morning breakfast. The breakfasts they cook and serve is very homey.

Dolly (staff) was very nice and helpful. Everything about the property was just perfect. When I arrived on Sunday, I asked Dolly what time is wine hour. She told me no wine hour on Sunday. However a bit later, she served wine for us. That was so nice of her!!
