We really enjoyed our stay at the HĂŽtel LittĂ©raire Stendhal (with air conditioning thankfully). Our room was built directly adjacent to the CathĂ©drale Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation et Saint-Sigisbert. In fact, our hotel featured part of the exterior facade with two 18th-century baroque cherubs on our "wall." The staff and service was superb. We were amazed by how quiet the room was with a bustling cafĂ© and busy street below. The breakfast offerings were delicious and well worth adding to our stay. We parked our automobile across the street at the Stanislas Parking, which was both convenient and cost-effective (unfortunately the parking elevator was out of service). Thank you for a great experience. We look forward to staying at HĂŽtel LittĂ©raire Stendhal during our next visit to Nancy đŸ‡«đŸ‡·

A very comfortable upmarket hotel right in the heart of Nancy. The staff were friendly and check-in and check-out were very easy. The location is great - everything is within very close walking distance. We enjoyed the little literary flourishes everywhere. Highly recommended.

lovely little Hotel in town centre

excellent hotel in the centre of Nancy, i had the basic room but it was very nicely presented and was ideal for myself. I would stay in the hotel again if I had to pick a downside there is no parking but you can park in a multi story car park about 100meters away, i think when staying in the hotel there should be some agreement with the parking company that visitors can get a little discount but that is a very small suggestion, its not really a complaint but on the whole, lovely hotel and would recommend it

Great location in the nice town of Nancy and this historic building could have the potential to be a nice hotel. However there were some aspects that need serious improvement. Although the building is quite monomenyal, for some reason the doors to the coridors are shabby and the suspended ceilings are quite out of place. We were a family of 4 and had 2 rooms. In one room only one of the lights was working ( 3 were defect) the shower floor had clear black marks. The second room with 2 beds had only one pair of towels and although the bathroom seemed to be renovated, there was a bath but only a hand shower, not what people want in 2023. The hotel was also quite noisy. We could hear all noises from the surrprooms. The beds had boarding at the head and foot sides. With 1.85cm I did not really had a comfortable night. Breakfast was minimal ( no youghurt, no fruit). In the end we had the idea that we spent the night in a youth hostel in an o,d building on a good location. With good management and some changes in optics this could be a better hotel.
