The best accommodation in Namhae

This is a place I use every year when I visit Namhae. It is a place where you can rest quietly with a view of the ocean. The surrounding amenities are also close by, and it is a place where you can stay comfortably like at home. There is meticulous consideration everywhere in the accommodations, and it feels like your tired body and mind are being restored.

Whaleโ€™s dream pension felt like a home away from home. The owners have thought of everything one would need to have an enjoyable stay. Each room has its own character and outdoor sitting area. My friend had a swing outside her room to enjoy the ocean view. The room was immaculate. The refrigerator was stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks. Facial masks were provided as well. The small kitchen had everything you needed. A snack and drink was left hanging on our door as a departure treat. The couple who run the pension are lovely and were quick to answer all of our questions. I would definitely return to this pension.

Namhae Perfection

This stay was the highlight of our time in Korea. The location is perfect for exploring the island of Namhae. The accommodations themselves are superb - the nicest pension we've encountered in Korea - absolutely first rate. Finally, the service provided by the host was above and beyond, despite the slight language barrier. We could not be more pleased and look forward to returning to Whale's Dream one day.

The place was clean, serene and had a beautiful water view in front. The owner was very kind, friendly, and wanted to meet our needs while we were staying. He even brought us a bottle of red wine on our first evening, and hung a bag with a water bottle and a snack on the front door to take with us for our daily travels. The huge jacuzzi in the room, facing the water, was extra fun. Only dislike was the lack of a bigger market or ATM nearby. There was a small convenience store close to the property, however. Will highly recommend the place though.

I would stay again-book upstairs room!

The owner was very nice and helpful. There was a snafu with the room descriptions in Expedia(I thought I had booked upstairs but apparently I didn't) but the owner accommodated us the second night. He gave us a bottle of wine to apologize for the mistake. The rooms were neat and clean with a western bed and bathroom (this might be important to folks). Breakfast was included (tasty). The area is a bit isolated but there is a restaurant and a CU nearby. You MUST stay on the second floor if you rent here-i believe its the Deluxe Double. The different in the decor and view is pretty dramatic- you will be much happier if you are on the second floor. I recommend that one bring or rent a car when visiting Namhae-cabs can be expensive.
